Sabaac

The Cards

• The deck is A through 10 in all four suits (no face cards).
• Black cards (♠ ♣) add their value; red cards (♥ ♦) subtract theirs. An ace counts as 1.
• Your hand's total is the sum of all your cards. Closest to zero wins.

The Play

• Everyone starts with 2 cards and gets 3 rounds to improve.
• Each round you either Stand (keep your hand), Draw (take a card, up to 5), or Swap (trade one card for a new one).
• After rounds 1 and 2 the spike dice are rolled. Doubles trigger a Sabaac Shift: every hand is thrown out and redrawn!
• After round 3 all hands are revealed. Ties go to a positive total, then to more cards.
• Hit exactly zero and you've made a Pure Sabaac. 🌟

Each opponent plays their own way - some chase zero recklessly, some stand pat early. Same table for everyone today.
